Your Basic Water Heater Components And Where To Find Them
- The drain valve is located near the bottom of the tank for easy draining of water and sediment.
- The gas control valve, which on this particular tank heater is an older model, is centered near the bottom of the tank. Many of our new models now have a LED Display for easier reading and troubleshooting.
- The temperature relief valve is located in the upper right side of the tank. For more info on temperature relief valve, be sure to watch our short video on “Temperature And Relief Valves“.
- The cold water inlet is located at the top of the tank on the right side. This is where your water comes in to fill the tank.
- The hot water outlet also located at the top of the tank but on the left side. This is where your hot water comes out to supply your home or business.
Pro Tip To Remember- Cold is always on the right and hot is always on the left.
