1- Vent

  • Exhaust must be properly vented out through the flue tube which prevent harmful gases from being released into the home.

2- Temperature & Pressure Relief Valve

  • The T& P Relief Valve is a water heater safety component. It is designed to release water pressure from your tank in the event you have too high of water pressure coming into your home or if your water heater’s thermostat overheats.

3- Foam Insulation

  • Foam Insulation is used inside water heaters to improve energy efficiency by insulating and preventing heat loss.

4- Anode Rod

  • The Anode Rod is located inside the top of the tank. It prevents the effects of corrosive hot water from damaging the unit and reducing its lifespan.

5- Dip Tube

  • Gas Water heaters include a self-cleaning dip tube which sends the incoming water to the bottom of the tank. It does this in order to prevent sediment build-up and to extend tank life and efficiency.

6- Glass Liner

  • A porcelain enamel glass lines the tank to protect it from corrosion, chemical resistance (acid or alkaline) and thermal shock.

7- Gas Valve

  • The gas valve controls the flow of gas to the burner. It also allows the user to adjust temperature when needed.

8- Burner

  • Located under the bottom head and flue, gas is ignited by the pilot light to heat the water.
